sounds like you have a blockage in the lines somewhere. just start tracing the fuel lines from the tank to the front and make sure there are no kinks or anything in it. just had to work on my friends 67, had similar issues (no fuel pressure yet still had a full tank of gas, turned on when we poured gas in the carb), turns out part of the rubber fuel line was kinked and corroded, as well as the filter on the fuel sending unit had fallen apart and let all kinds of dirt and rust clog the fuel sending unit.
one way i was told to test the carb was to get a small container of fuel and just run a hose from the carb to the fuel container. if the car turned on and stayed in, then just start tapping into the fuel line after certain key areas to see if it still turned on. if not, then there was a blockage somewhere between the last test and the new test.
